Sunlight fading into dark mist, the land was covered in a thick blanket of the low clouds. Omnious trees loomed ahead, their shapes dancing just out of sight. Loud thunderclaps echoed in everyone's ears, as they huddled beneath the tarp. War was at hand, and as the moon rose above their huddled bodies beneath the plastic, the blood stained fields could be seen beneath the mist. Rain poured off the plastic as someone stood up, their face shrouded by the darkness, it would soon be time to hike north, away from the battle grounds. Their mission was to deliever the information of the defeat of the valley, but first they had to get through the forest on their side of the hills... a forest infested with the enemy, lycans. Red glints of hate filled eyes shone out thorugh the forest, as the small band of elven people hid beneath the tarp.

One such elf huddled next to the rest. It was bloody cold, and she was slowly beginning to think this was completely and totally no worth the effort. They had long since run out of usable supplies, thanks to the constant drizzle, and carelessness of one of their comrades. Not that it mattered. A sniper had finished him off. And their band of six became five.

Someone stood up.

Wonderful. Now she was freezing and soaked through.

Last time you would catch her signing up for anything again. Period.

If she lived that long anyway.
